When I was preparing my talk for Galway Early Music Festival, I came up with a new handout which I gave to the participants and which we discussed in the talk and workshop session.
The idea of this new sheet is to lay out in blunt and simplistic terms the lineages of the mainstream of each of these traditions. We all found it quite interesting to consider how different aspects of performance practice fit in to the two sides of the diagram. There was some discussion of string colours, and of lap harps vs. floor harps.
